Mathieu Town Forest and is a forested area spanning over 100 acres of forested land, featuring over 2 miles of scenic trails. These trails wind through large hemlock groves and overlook portions of Alder Brook. Beginning at Sand Hill Park, the trails includes generally gradual slopes with several steep grades during ravine crossings. There are several bridge crossings over small tributaries, and a section of trail that runs right alongside Alder Brook.
