Sand Hill Traffic Study

Posted on: June 5, 2024

[ARCHIVED] January 8, 2024

The Town has applied for the Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) through the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) for consideration of a project to fund a comprehensive traffic impact study within the Lower Sand Hill Road and Allen Martin Drive corridor. The study will include public outreach and engagement throughout the project. The total project cost is $50,000 with a 20% match required from the Town. The match required for the UPWP grant by the Town is $10,000.

The CCRPC's Unified Planning Work Program serves as the annual work plan for local and regional transportation projects and other planning activities. Each fiscal year (July 1 to June 30), the CCRPC prepares a UPWP that describes numerous programs and identifies the transportation, land use and other planning activities and projects that the CCRPC is engaged in collaboration with its member municipalities and other state and regional partners and agencies. The UPWP serves as a management tool, including a staff manager, deadline, budget, and funding sources for each project included.
