Installments and Due Dates
Town of Essex Water and Sewer bills are issued three times per year in March, July, and November and are due in April, August, and December on the due date stated on the bill. If you do not receive your utility bill, please contact the Finance Department.
Payment Options
- Mail or drop off your payment at the Town Office, 81 Main Street, Essex Jct., VT 05452 (please include the stub with your payment). Checks should be made payable to the Town of Essex. For your convenience, a drop-box is available 24/7 to the left of the front door (no cash please). Please include a self-addressed envelope if you would like a receipt mailed to you.
- Cash, check, or credit/debit cards are accepted at the Town Office. A convenience fee will be charged by the credit/debit vendor.
- Pay online with a credit or debit card. A convenience fee will be charged by the credit/debit vendor.
- Sign up for the free automatic utility payment program. Enroll by filling out the form below and send with a voided check to Town of Essex, Attn: Finance, 81 Main Street, Essex Jct., VT 05452. Installment amounts will be automatically deducted from your bank account on the due date.
Meter Access
Please do not block off access to water meters. Meters must be accessible at all times.
Late Penalty
Payments received or postmarked after the due date are considered delinquent and will incur an 8% penalty.
