Bill Payments
Enter the name of the street for the bill you are paying. If confirmed as a Town of Essex address, you will be directed to a payment portal. Select the type of payment from the dropdown menu. A convenience fee is charged by Value Payment Systems for using this service.

- Complete and submit a change of address form
- Complete an enrollment form for the Automatic Tax Payment Program
- Complete an enrollment form for the Automatic Utility Payment Program
Burn Permits
Apply for an online permit for an open-air fire (bonfire, burn pile, etc.) to burn brush, grass, natural unpainted, unstained and untreated lumber and wood products.

Dog Licenses
Send an email to clerk@essex.org and include the following:
New Dogs
Register a new dog by mailing or emailing a copy of a current rabies certificate, owner’s name, address and contact information, dog breed, color, age, size (small, medium or large) and date of spay or neuter. PLEASE NOTE: IF EMAILING A COPY OF RABIES CERTIFICATE, PLEASE SCAN AND ATTACH AS A PDF (no screen shots please).
Renewals
Renew by mail or email by sending the fee and current rabies certificate.
Grand List
The Grand List contains information about a property's owner name(s), mailing address, E911 location address, parcel ID number, SPAN number, and assessed value. View the Grand List online.
Grievance Application for Assessment
Complete an application and mail or drop off at 81 Main Street.
